Events Mapping
Events Mapping allows you to assign managers to specific events and manage their schedules. Select managers and view their event assignments through an intuitive calendar interface with role-based assignments.
What is Events Mapping?
Section titled “What is Events Mapping?”Events Mapping is a schedule management system that allows you to:
- Select managers to view and manage their schedules
- Assign manager roles using the succession planning hierarchy
- View event schedules by month and year
- Manage event assignments with detailed and compact views
Manager Selection Interface
Section titled “Manager Selection Interface”Choose which managers to view and manage in the events mapping.
- Multi-manager selection: Select up to multiple managers at once
- Manager search: Search for specific managers by name
- Select All option: Choose all managers (max 50) for overview
- Manager details: Shows manager name and email address
Navigate through different time periods for event planning.
- Month selector: Choose specific month to view
- Year selector: Navigate between years
- Current selection: Shows selected managers with removal options
- Real-time updates: Changes reflect immediately in the mapping panel
Filter to show managers who don’t have scheduled events.
- Toggle on to see managers without current assignments
- Helps identify available managers for new events
- Useful for workload balancing
- Shows gaps in event coverage
Role Legend and Assignment Types
Section titled “Role Legend and Assignment Types”Six levels of manager assignments based on succession planning.
- 1st Manager: Primary responsibility for events (Blue badge)
- 2nd Manager: First backup coverage (Green badge)
- 3rd Manager: Second backup coverage (Orange badge)
- 4th Manager: Third backup coverage (Purple badge)
- 5th Manager: Fourth backup coverage (Pink badge)
- 6th Manager: Fifth backup coverage (Yellow badge)
Additional assignment types for specific situations.
- Day Rate: Temporary or contract-based assignments (Light blue badge)
- Shadower: Training or observation role (Gray badge)
- Support Manager: Additional assistance for complex events (Green badge)

- Each role type has a distinct color badge
- Easy visual scanning of manager assignments
- Consistent color scheme across the system
- Helps identify coverage gaps quickly
Event Mapping Panel
Section titled “Event Mapping Panel”Choose between detailed and compact views for different needs.
- Event Map - Detailed View: Full information display with expanded details
- Event Map - Compact View: Condensed view for overview purposes
- Toggle between views: Switch based on task requirements
- Responsive layout: Adapts to different screen sizes
View manager assignments and event details in the calendar.
- Daily breakdown: Events organized by date
- Manager columns: Each selected manager gets their own column
- Event information: Event names and assignment details
- Status indicators: Shows assignment status and coverage levels
System guidance when no managers are selected.
- Clear messaging: “No data yet. Please select a manager to view event mapping.”
- Action guidance: Directs users to select managers first
- Visual placeholder: Graphic illustration while waiting for selection
- User-friendly interface: Helps new users understand the workflow
Working with Event Assignments
Section titled “Working with Event Assignments”Choose specific managers to display in the event mapping.
- Click “Select Managers” dropdown to see available options
- Search for managers by name using the search box
- Select individual managers or use “Select All (max 50)“
- Selected managers appear as removable tags
Add and modify event assignments for selected managers.
- Add Schedule: Click to add new events to specific dates
- Event Day status: See which days have scheduled events
- No status days: Available for new event assignments
- Role assignment: Assign managers to specific succession levels
Coordinate multiple managers across different events.
- View multiple manager schedules simultaneously
- Identify scheduling conflicts and overlaps
- Balance workload across the team

Navigation and Workflow
Section titled “Navigation and Workflow”Move between different time periods for planning.
- Use month and year dropdowns to navigate
- Plan events weeks or months in advance
- Review historical event assignments
- Coordinate with other planning cycles
Find specific managers quickly for assignment.
- Search functionality: Type manager names to filter list
- Email display: Manager contact information shown
- Quick selection: Click to add managers to view
- Batch operations: Select multiple managers at once
Control what information is displayed on screen.
- Switch between detailed and compact views
- Remove managers from current view as needed
- Filter by managed/unmanaged status
- Customize display for different tasks

Getting Started
Section titled “Getting Started”To begin using Events Mapping:
- Select managers from the dropdown list
- Choose month and year for planning
- View the Event Mapping Panel once managers are selected
- Switch between views (Detailed/Compact) as needed
- Add or modify schedules using the calendar interface
