Request Management
Submit and track requests for resources, changes, or approvals needed for operational activities through the comprehensive Manage Request interface.

What is a request?
Section titled “What is a request?”A request is a formal submission for operational needs such as:
- Leave requests (Swap Duty, time off, schedule changes)
- Resource allocation (staff, equipment, budget)
- Process improvements or operational changes
- Schedule modifications and manager assignments
- Cross-team coordination needs
Manage Request Interface
Section titled “Manage Request Interface”Comprehensive filtering and search capabilities for managing requests.
- Search Function: “Search by title or submitter” - find specific requests quickly
- Status Filter: “All Status” dropdown to filter by request status
- Advanced Filtering: Multiple filter options for precise request management
- Real-time Results: Instant filtering as you type or select filters
Comprehensive table view of all requests with key information.
- Request Title: Clear identification of each request
- Type: Request category (Swap Duty, Quotation, etc.)
- Description: Brief summary of request details
- Start Date: Request effective start date
- End Date: Request completion or end date
- Managers: Number of managers involved (e.g., “0”)
- Submitted by: User who created the request with role
- Status: Color-coded status badges
Click any request to open detailed view and management panel.
- Request Panel: Right-side panel opens with full request details
- Request Information: Complete request specifications and metadata
- Status Management: Update request status and progress

Request Types and Examples
Section titled “Request Types and Examples”Schedule change and duty swap coordination.
- Purpose: Manager schedule changes and duty swaps
- Example: “Leave na me” - requesting time off or schedule adjustment
- Typical Duration: Single day to multi-day periods
- Processing: Requires manager availability verification
Resource and service quotation requests.
- Purpose: Obtain quotes for services, equipment, or resources
- Example: “Test Request 005” - quotation for operational needs
- Processing: Vendor coordination and price comparison
- Documentation: Requires detailed specifications
Miscellaneous operational support and coordination.
- Purpose: Various operational needs and support requests
- Example: “Test Request 0007” - operational support requirements
- Flexible Processing: Varies based on request complexity
- Cross-functional: May involve multiple departments
Request Status System
Section titled “Request Status System”Current request statuses visible in the system.
- Not Yet Started Not Yet Started: Request submitted but processing not begun
- Missing Information Missing Information: Additional details required from submitter
- In Progress: Actively being processed and worked on
- Under Review: Being evaluated by appropriate personnel
Final status options for request completion.
- Mark as Complete: Request successfully fulfilled
- Mark as Missing Information: Requires additional details
- Rejected: Request declined with reasoning
- Cancelled: Request withdrawn by submitter
Request Detail Panel
Section titled “Request Detail Panel”Comprehensive request details and specifications.
- Leave Name: Specific request identifier
- Start Date: Request effective date (e.g., 2025-09-27 00:00)
- End Date: Request completion date
- Type: Request category and classification
- Submitted By: User and role information
- Managers Required: Number of managers needed
- Status: Current request status with action buttons
- Files: Attached documents and resources
Monitor all request-related activities and changes.
- Activity Log: Chronological record of all request activities
- Status Changes: Track progression through request lifecycle

Request Management Actions

- Mark as Complete: Blue button for successful completion
- Mark as Missing Information: White button when details needed
- Status Dropdown: Select appropriate status for current situation

Update and manage request information and attachments.

Request Processing Workflow

Search and Filter Usage

- Title Search: Search by request title or keywords
- Submitter Search: Find requests by user who submitted them
- Real-time Results: Instant filtering as you type
- Case Insensitive: Search works regardless of capitalization
Filter requests by current status for focused management.
- All Status: View all requests regardless of status
- Not Yet Started: Focus on new, unprocessed requests
- Missing Information: View requests needing additional details
- In Progress: Monitor actively processed requests
Use multiple filters together for precise request management.
- Combine search terms with status filters
- Filter by date ranges and request types

Pagination and Navigation

Best Practices

- Check if you’re logged in with the correct account
- Use search function to find specific request titles
- Contact Operations Support if requests are missing
- Verify request was successfully submitted initially
Troubleshoot clickable request interface issues.
- Ensure you’re clicking directly on the request row
- Check browser compatibility and refresh if needed
- Verify you have permission to view request details
- Try using different browser or clearing cache
Resolve issues with updating request status.
- Confirm you have permission to update request status
- Check if request is in an editable state
- Verify all required information is provided
- Contact admin if permission issues persist
Fix filtering and search result issues.
- Clear all filters and try searching again
- Check spelling and try different search terms
- Verify date ranges include expected request dates
- Reset filters to “All Status” to see all requests
Getting Started with Request Management
Section titled “Getting Started with Request Management”To effectively use the Request Management system:
- Access the interface via Management → Manage Request
- Use filters and search to find specific requests or focus on priorities
- Click any request to open the detailed view panel
- Review request information including dates, type, and submitter details
- Update status as processing progresses
- Add notes for communication and documentation
- Mark as complete when request is fulfilled
